The Salty Company

There’s something so beautiful about watching a dream unfold in God’s timing. Sometimes it starts as a whisper, a small, quiet nudge that won’t leave your heart alone. For me, that whisper began with words. With stories, reflections, and journal entries that somehow found their way onto the internet and became The Salty Sunday Co, a space where I could share my heart. My faith. My thoughts, and my love for Jesus in a way that felt real and relatable. It was never just about the writing, it was about creating something that could add a little bit of salt and light to someone’s day. To remind people that even in the most ordinary moments, God is there, working, weaving, and whispering His goodness into the details.

But I think God has a way of expanding the dreams we’re willing to hand back to Him. I didn’t think The Salty Sunday Co would grow into other avenues, but over time, I started to feel that familiar stirring again. That quiet call to create, to share God’s love in new, tangible ways. So what started as a little corner of the internet is now growing into something bigger, something I’ve decided to call The Salty Company. It’s an umbrella for everything I create and everything I hope to share. Starting with writings and now to the newest branch of this dream, The Salty Crumb Homemade Market.

The name comes from one of my favorite passages in the bible, Matthew 5:13-16, you are the salt of the Earth.. And the light of the world. Jesus calls us to bring flavor and light into a world that is desperate for both. And that’s really the heart of this little company. Whether it’s homemade baked goods, a jar of something lovely, a bouquet of flowers, or a blog that makes you smile, my prayer is that you feel the love of Jesus in it. That each sweet, simple thing would whisper of His goodness. Because the truth is, you can taste and see the goodness of God in the simplest ways. In the warmth of something baked by hand, in words written with intention, in beauty crafted with love. Baking for me has always been a kind of ministry. My mom has been saying the Lord has put it in my heart to bake and cook. It slows me down long enough to notice God’s fingerprints in the small moments, the way butter melts into sugar, the way dough rises, and how everything mixed together transforms into something delicious. There’s holiness in feeding people. In showing up to a neighbors door, a party with a tin of treats, or in my case setting up a little shop at the end of my driveway for anyone who drives by it. Jesus broke bread over tables and shared good news over meals. He loved people through the simplest act of sharing a meal. And that’s the whole point, a reminder that even the smallest acts of care can carry the presence of God.

The Salty Crumb is a piece of that heart. Its homemade goods and handcrafted items, baked goods, candles, lotions, dried mocktail mixes, homemade seasoning packets, veggie baskets in the spring and summer, (and by the grace of God and convincing my husband to get chickens) fresh eggs one day :). Each thing is made and created with love and purpose, to bring a little bit of warmth and happiness into someone’s day. It’s not just about selling something, it’s about sharing The Gospel. A piece of home, a piece of hope, and taste of God’s promises and faithfulness.

Starting something new is never easy. There’s always that fear of the unknown, wondering if you have enough time, money, or experience. But I’m learning that when you feel God calling you to something, He’s not looking at your bank account or your schedule. He’s looking at your faith and your willingness to say yes, even when it’s scary. To trust that obedience matters more than certainty.

I’m saying yes. To the dream he planted. To work and dreams He’s still unfolding. To be salt and light in a dark and restless world. My prayer is that in every baked good, every jar, every word, you’d feel the love of Jesus, that you’d taste the goodness of God in the simplest ways. Because sometimes the smallest thing carries the biggest pieces of Heaven.

So welcome to The Salty Company, a home for all the ways I hope to bring flavor and light into the world. A place where the word meets the world. Where faith meets creativity, and where God’s grace meets the everyday moments of life. The Salty Crumb Homemade Market is coming soon, filled with all things homemade, heartfelt, and a little bit Heavenly. And lets just say…. A new branch of The Salty Company is already stirring. Something I’ve been quietly praying over. It’s old and new, familiar and exciting, waiting to make its way back into the light and something I think many of you might just recognize… any guesses!!!
